I finally found my phone. I had been looking for it for three hours.
May was really tired. She had been working all day.
Tim arrived late. I had been waiting for hours.
When they won the championship, they had been practicing for six months.
He had to take a shower. He had been playing tennis for two hours.
Vicky drove a car without a license. Her parents had been worrying.
Bob was out of breath. He had been running.
The street was wet. It had been raining.
There were tears on her face. She had been crying.
S + had + been + V-ing.
He had been waiting for a long time.
S + had + not + been + V-ing.
He had not been waiting long.
3 Yes/No 問句:Had + S + been + V-ing?
Had he been waiting long?
4 WH 問句: WH + had + S + been + V-ing?
How long had he been waiting.
