走在路上外國人來問路的時候是不是很傷腦筋呢？到國外手上有地圖還是找不到路的時候要問路要怎麼問呢？被問路跟問路其實沒有想像的難。雖然也稱不上容易。有幾個詞用力記一下，就會比較能夠應付。希望大家遇到外國人的時候不要緊張，好好的發揮。

A: Excuse me. Is there an Internet café near here?  

    不好意思。附近有網咖嗎？

B: Yes, there’s an Internet café on Chungshan Road, next to the gym.

    有，有一家網咖在中山路上，在健身房旁邊。

A: How do I get there?

    我要怎麼走？

B: Go straight ahead and turn left on Yuanshan Road. It’s on the left, next to the gym.

   往前直走，在員山路左轉。在路的左邊，健身房的隔壁。

A  如何開口問路的幾種方式，可以選最簡單的

1 Excuse me. Where’s the nearest subway station?

   不好意思。最近的地鐵站在哪兒？

2 Excuse me. Is there a drugstore near here?

   不好意思。這附近有藥局嗎？

3 Can you tell me how to get to the nearest bus stop, please?

   可以麻煩你跟我說怎麼樣走到最近的公車站嗎？

B.   如何用介系詞指引方向

先說明該標的建築物在什麼路上，再用方向介系詞說明附近有什麼其它的建築物

A: Excuse me. Is there a convenience store near here?

    不好意思，這附近有便利商店嗎？

B: Yes, there’s a convenience store on the corner of Xinyi Road and Songshou

   Road, across from the hotel.

   有，在信義路跟松壽路轉角有家便利商店，在飯店對面。

A: Is it far?

    很遠嗎？

B: No, it’s just two blocks away. It takes five minutes. That’s all.

    不會，只有三條街，五分鐘就到了。就這樣。

A: Thanks a lot.

    非常謝謝你。

C. 常見表達位置的場所介系詞

1 in 在(裡面)  2. at 在某個地方  3. inside 在裡面  4.  in front of  在前面

D. 如何詳細的指引方向的步驟

1. go 很好用，朝什麼方向走的意思。第一步先說往上走，往下走，往左走，往右走。走幾條街(block)。

Go straight. 直走/ Go straight ahead. 往前直走

Go straight ahead (for) two blocks. 直走三條街

Go up Main Street. 沿Main Street往上走 / Go down the street. 往下走

Go through the intersection. 過十字路口

2. 也可能一開始就告訴人家左轉右轉後再直走。1跟2可以對調。也可能重複好幾次。

在左轉右轉的地方加建築物名稱或第幾個路口會更清楚。

Turn left.左轉 /Turn right.右轉 /Turn left on King Street.在King Street左轉

Turn left at the first traffic light. 第一個紅綠燈左轉

Turn right at the second corner. 第二個轉角右轉

Turn right at the bank. 在銀行右轉

Take the first left. 第一個路口左轉/ Take the second right. 第二個路口右轉

3. 最後到了可看到標的物的地方，可以先說在街道的左邊或在右邊，還是在轉角。

然後告知附近的建築標的物，比方說在教堂隔壁。也可以說是第幾棟建築物。

It’s on the left. 標的物在左邊 / It’s on the right. 標的物在右邊

It’s next to the church. 在教堂的隔壁

It’s across from the school. 在學校對面

It’s on the (northeast) corner. 在(東北方)的角落

It’s the second building on the left. 左邊的第二棟建築物。

模擬練習

First, go down this street for two blocks.

首先，往這條街下面直走兩條路。

Then, turn right at the traffic light.

然後在紅綠燈右轉

After that, go straight on Pine Street until you get to the park.

接著，在Pine Street上一直走直到到達公園

When you get to the park, turn left.

當你到達公園的時候左轉

Then, stay on Second Avenue for about 100 meters.

然後在Second Avenue上走約一百公尺

It’s on your left, next to the bank. You can’t miss it!

就會看到在你的左手邊，在銀行隔壁。你一定不會錯過的。(就是一定會看到的意思)
