可數名詞跟不可數名詞要怎麼分呢？愛情可數嗎？信念可數嗎？都是不可數，沒錯，那奇蹟可數嗎？電視電影常會看到 It’s a miracle! 真是個奇蹟啊！可數。學生最喜歡數的就是早餐，午餐跟晚餐，不好意思，breakfast, lunch, dinner 都是不可數，但是三餐 three meals 的 meal 餐點才是可數的，啊，煩死人呢？

不會啦，大規則記一下，遇到不確定的查一下字典就好了 ，名詞通常會有 U 跟 C，猜猜看哪個是可數哪個是不可數？U 指的是 Uncountable Nouns 不可數名詞，C 指的是 Countable Nouns 可數名詞。有些很接近的字 advice 忠告，不可數， suggestion 建議，可數，魚肉不可數，水族箱的魚可數，這個明天再發另外一支影片。有空可以看一下影片，有在十分鐘內盡量清楚地說完了，也複習了可數名詞單數複數的概念，然後潔西自己越說越 high ，可能是剛剛去走了操場的運動 high 吧？

學生今天請假，冷冷的天不用出門上課在家也沒有悠哉的混一天，做可數不可數的講義寫寫改改在路個影片，一天就這樣過去了，好可怕。中午跟晚餐順應天氣吃了火鍋，晚上不小心吃太飽，就去操場消化一下，地上還有下過雨的水窪，走著走著滿滿的幸福感，剛剛一邊喝了新買的一瓶梅酒。今天沒開電視，開了一瓶梅酒，哈哈哈，中文也很妙啊。

床上堆滿了講義，今天本來要還書，學生請假就懶得出門，上網找到圖書館的網站續借了，耶，明天要看醫生的時候可以帶去看，昨天看了一點覺得好看的還是在看太宰治的書叫做小說燈籠。喝了酒微醺的時候覺得這個世界真是太美好了，新冠病毒明天再去面對吧，先來看我的小說喝我的酒。大家晚安！

1 名詞可分為可數名詞 Count Nouns / Countable Nouns 與不可數名詞 Non-count Nouns / Uncountable Nouns

A 可數名詞：顧名思義就是可以數有幾個數量，一些可以很容易數的名詞，如：an apple, two eggs, three books, four men, five children

單數：只有一個的時候稱做單數，前面一定要加冠詞如 a, an, the, this, my 等。

I haven’t read a book for ages. / I have a question.

複數：兩個以上時叫做複數。複數的字尾多半要加 s。複數時可以加數量詞如 two, three等，也可以用 some, a lot of, a few, few 或 many。

He had some fries for lunch. / She doesn’t have a lot of friends.

B 不可數名詞：有些名詞通如液體，氣體，粒狀，粉狀或抽象概念等，難以一一計算的名詞。如：water, air, rice, flour, love

單數：不可數名詞永遠是單數表達方式，但前面不可以加 a 或其他數量詞。不可數名詞不會有複數表達，所以後面不可以加 s。前面可以加 some, a lot of, a little, little,  much 或計量詞來數。

另外不可數名詞是當做是第三人稱單數看待，所以面要加的動詞是按照第三人稱單數主詞後面加動詞的規則

Water is very important.

Gold is a very valuable metal.

常見不可數名詞種類：         an ear of corn

a. 一些相似的物件的總稱：furniture 傢具, baggage 行李, luggage 行李, food 食物, fruit 水果, clothing 衣物, garbage 垃圾, junk 垃圾, equipment 設備, jewelry 珠寶, mail 郵件, money 錢, traffic 交通

b. 液體：water 水, coffee 咖啡, tea 茶, milk 牛奶, soup 湯, juice 果汁, beer 啤酒, oil 油, gasoline 汽油, blood 血

c. 固體：ice 冰, bread 麵包, butter 奶油, cheese 起士, meat 肉, glass 玻璃, paper 紙, wood 木頭, wool 羊毛, cotton 棉花

d. 氣體：air 空氣, oxygen 氧氣, carbon dioxide 二氧化碳, smoke 煙, pollution 污染

e. 粒狀，粉狀物(particles)：rice 米/飯, corn 玉米, flour 麵粉, salt 鹽, sand 沙子

f. 抽象概念：love 愛情, beauty 美, confidence 自信, health 健康, education 教育, knowledge 知識, music 音樂, advice 忠告, information 資訊, time 時間, space 空間, progress 進步, peace 和平, sleep 睡眠, help 幫助

g. 大自然現象：weather 天氣, rain 雨, snow 雪, thunder 打雷, lightning 閃電, sunshine 陽光, fire 火, heat 高溫

2 計量詞 Measure Words

不可數名詞：要數不可數名詞的時候常會用一些計量詞 measure words，比方說

形狀 shapes，份量 portions，容器 containers，計量單位 measurements 來數。

a 單數：用 a ＋ 計量詞 ＋ of ＋ 不可數名詞

            如：a glass of wine, a piece of luggage

b 複數：在計量單位前加數量，計量單位字尾加s，不可數名詞後面不可以加 s

            如：two glasses of wine, three pieces of luggage

形狀：a loaf of bread, a bar of soap, a bar of chocolate

份量：a slice of bread, a piece of cake, a bowl of soup,

容器：a can of beans, a bottle of milk, a container of yogurt, a tube of toothpaste

計量單位：a teaspoon of salt, a pound of sugar, a kilo of bacon

可數名詞也可以用計量單位來數。這時候用的都會是複數名詞，字尾要加 s。表達兩個以上的數量時，則計量詞跟複數名詞都要加 s。

單數：用 a ＋ 計量詞 ＋ of ＋ 可數複數名詞，

           如：a pound of apples

複數：在計量單位前加數量，計量單位字尾加 s，複數名詞加 s。

           如：two pounds of apples         

注意：計量詞後面一定要有 of。

代表總體的時候多半用可數名詞的複數或不可數的單數，前面不加 the

I like strawberries. / Diamonds are expensive. / Buses are cheaper than taxis.

I like milk. / Gold is expensive. / Pork is cheaper than beef.
