大家有跟家裡的小孩講現在俄羅斯攻打烏克蘭的事嗎？那天跟小五的學生講到，發現學校跟家裡都沒說，用簡單的英文解釋了一下，然後發現，恩，小學生很多事都不知道，突然想到，家長會不會不想要小朋友知道，就沒有繼續講下去了。
先前跟國一的學生提到，他也說學校跟家裡都沒提到。國中升高中時不是會有時事嗎？這麼大的事為什麼學校都沒提啊？就講了一下。那天帶學生看過一篇文章，又用簡單的英文解釋為什麼俄羅斯要攻打烏克蘭，然後請學生重述，學生講不出來。恩，懂意思，但是講不出來，覺得學生很普遍的問題耶。學校通常會要求學生去背一堆東西，但是做總結，或表達自己的訓練好像比較少。作業，老師的特權，哈哈，學生會寫出什麼樣的東西呢？還蠻期待的。
潔西通常是上成人的課，但是發現呢上小朋友的課時都是用全英幫英文程度很好的小朋友上，現在小孩程度真的是越來越好了呢，不過也是因為有家長在栽培的關係啦。
看到 PTT 上有人發美國副總統賀錦麗回答烏克蘭與俄羅斯的戰爭的原因，她用超簡單的也就是下面前七句回答。然後下面一堆嘲笑辱罵的言論。潔西好奇點進去 YouTube 看了影片，主持人是請她用最簡單的方式說明給完全不知道不懂的人。貼影片的人一定是有看全部影片，不可能沒聽到主持人的要求。斷章取義是炒新聞最常見的方式。不去看不去了解全部狀況也是最大眾的方式。唉！大家參考一下。
So Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to a country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russian is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So basically that’s wrong. And it goes against everything that we stand for. There are terms we used. We say we respect the sovereignty, the territorial integrity of a country, but that’s its independence. Russia has gone to Ukraine militarily, unprovoked, with no justification other than exercise its power to take over another country.
烏克蘭是一個在歐洲的國家。它位在一個叫俄羅斯的國家旁邊。俄羅斯是一個大國。俄羅斯是一個強國。俄羅斯決定侵略一個小國叫做烏克蘭。所以基本上這是錯的。(解釋給小朋友聽還蠻適合的啊)這違背了我們所代表的一切。我們用有些字詞。我們說我們尊重一個國家的主權，國土的完整性，但是那是它的獨立。俄羅斯用武力侵略烏克蘭，沒有原因，沒有正當的理由，只是使用它的強大武力去佔領其他國家。(用聽得翻譯可能有錯請見諒)
