E2 B L1 Hello 2012/12/24

E2B American Headway Starter L1 Unit 1 Hello         Jessie Lin    P.4 I. Count Nouns可數名詞

可數名詞顧名思義就是可以數有幾個的名詞。可分單數與複數。

單數:數量只有一個時稱做單數,單數可數名詞前面一定要加冠詞如 a, the, this, my等。

I have a pen.  / The pen is black. / This pen is cheap. / My pen is on the table.

複數:數量兩個以上時叫做複數。複數的字尾大部份要加s。少數複數名詞有不規則變化。

可數名詞的複數可在前面加數量詞如two, three等,也可以加some或 a lot of等 。

I have two pens. / Some pens are on the table. / I have a lot of friends.

冠詞a/an:可數名詞只有一個為單數時,名詞前面要加a或an。

a :名詞的字首的發音是子音時,名詞前要加a。

She has a brother. / I don’t have a cell phone. / This is a photo.

an:名詞的字首的發音是母音時,名詞前要加an。

I eat an apple every day. / That is an egg. / It is an orange.

Welcome to Jessie’s class!

潔西是個講話有點快,個性有點急,又有點迷糊的老師,但是也是個還算有耐心,也樂於回答同學問題,對教學有熱忱的老師。剛開始同學可能會不習慣潔西的上課方式與速度,可是呢給自己跟潔西一點時間,大部分同學過陣子就習慣了,在還沒適應前,記得多提出問題,多請潔西放慢速度。

潔西上課方式大致如下:

  1. Warm-up Questions

Practice makes perfect. 多練習才會完美J

  1. Group Discussion  小組討論

團體三四人一組,對每個觀點意見大家提出看法與想法,最後與全班分享。問題可以用討論的方式每個人輪流問問題,每個人都回答。也可以A問B問題,B回答問題,C再問B問一個following-up question。主要是讓大家有交流的時間,會的人可以幫助不會的,同學也可參考其他同學的回答,從中學習。

  1. Survey

要說表達”好好喝”與其說good good drink,不如說The drink is good.

I’m interested in English.

Review & Preview

Wikipedia

10. 有空的人可以上潔西的部落格看看一些推薦英語學習的網站及方法。希望大家都可以把英文學好J

D. 過去簡單式Simple Past

英文有十二個時態。在學每一個時態時要記住四點:使用時機、句型、動詞變化以及搭配的副詞。最重要是理解跟多做練習,才能靈活運用、得心應手

一、過去簡單式的使用時機

1. 英文用過去簡單式用來表達發生在過去的事件。

I went home late last night.

He had a great time at his birthday party.

2. 過去簡單式也用來表達在過去重複進行的活動、習慣。

We lived in America for five years when I was a child.

My grandmother went to church every Sunday morning.

二、過去簡單式的句型

(一)過去簡單式一般動詞的句型為S + V2(V2指的是動詞的過去式)

肯定句     S    +    V2

I           ate a big dinner last night.

Tina          got married when she was 18.

否定與問句需要用did這個助動詞來幫忙。

否定句在助動詞後面加not, 記得助動詞後動詞要改回原型動詞。

否定句     S   +    did not    +   V1

They        didn’t         do their homework.

He          didn’t         sing at the KTV last weekend.

Yes/No 問句把助動詞did放在主詞前面造問句,助動詞後用原型動詞。

Did   +   S    +  V1

Did       you       sleep well last night?

Did       Tom       have a good time?

WH問句則將疑問詞放在最前面再依序放助動詞、主詞、原型動詞。

因為what 跟who 可以當主詞,當主詞時則不須助動詞,動詞用過去式。

WH             did   +   S    +   V1

What time    did        you         get up this morning?

Where         did        Linda       go last weekend?

Who         did     you       go shopping with?

Who/What +  V2

Who        took my umbrella?

Wha       happened last night?

E2B L8 Unit 10 We had a good time!                 Jess Lin    P.4

過去簡單式Simple Past

(二)、過去簡單式Be的句型為

主詞+    過去式Be  +名詞/形容詞/介係詞片語

S  +   was/were       +noun/ adjective /preposition phrase

肯定句 S was/were noun/ adjective /preposition phrase

I          was          a housewife.

You         were        happy earlier.

My father   was          at home this morning.

否定與問句用本身的be動詞來改否定與造問句。

否定句只要在Be後面加not

否定句    S + was/were + not +  noun/ adjective / preposition phrase

I              was     not     a teacher last year.

You           were    not     sad this morning.

My father     was     not     at work yesterday.

Yes/No 問句 Be放在主詞前面造問句

Was/Were +    S  +      noun/ adjective / preposition phrase

Was            I                   loud earlier?

Were         you                 in the office this morning?

Was       your mother         away last week?

WH問句則將WH疑問詞放在最前面再依序放Be、主詞與其他部分

WH  word+ was/were +   S  +   noun/ adjective / preposition phrase

When             were         you            born?

Where           were         you           last night?

How               was        your day?

切記在過去簡單式中,一般動詞與Be絕對不會同時出現。

三、過去簡單式的副詞如:this morning, this afternoon, this evening, tonight, yesterday morning, yesterday afternoon, yesterday evening, last night, this Monday, last weekend, this January, last April, yesterday, the day before yesterday, three days ago, five years ago, in 2005…等。
