What a disaster! I spilled my coffee, and it was a disaster.
The more I work, the more I want to work.
Happy Chinese Valentine’s Day!
Chinese Valentine’s Day is on July 7th of the lunar calendar.
I’m wearing this dress to the hospital. It’s actually like the one you wear to a club, not to a hospital. It did take a bit courage to wear this walking on the street.
I have a good reason. I really liked the design, so I bought this dress last year when I went to Tokyo. However, it’s a bit short, and it’s a bit weird to wear this to a class. So here I am, wearing it to the hospital.
I have at least 30 dresses, but I’m always wearing the same five or six ones. I even drew down what I was wearing next to the date on my daily planner, so I don’t wear the same dress to the same class every time.
Well, maybe I just think too much. Nobody is looking at me, so I guess it’s not too bad to wear a dress for a night club during the day. It’s a free society anyway.
I hope I won’t have to wait for too long in the hospital.
Have a good day!
不確定該如何接續的時候只要查一下字典,比方說劍橋字典 Cambridge Dictionary 會用 + to infinitive 表示加不定詞 to 再加動詞原型,用 + ing verb 表示加動名詞,而朗文字典 Longman Dictionary 會在動詞後面加上 to do something 或 doing something 來表示。
A 加不定詞 to,再加動詞原型 V + to + V0
want 想要, would like 想要,need 需要,hope 希望, learn 學習,plan 計畫,
Have a good day!

What? You called this brunch? Why not? The definition of brunch is a meal eaten in the late morning that is a combination of breakfast and lunch. So, yes, that was my brunch.
I went to Sanxia Old Street with my classmate from college yesterday. Before we had a walk there, we went to the market nearby to have my first Chinese style brunch. My classmate told me it was a very popular restaurant, and it was almost packed every time she went there. The food was simple but tasty. We ordered quite a lot and of course we finished all of them.
While we were strolling on the Old Street, we found a good bargain. Some shoes are on sale: buy one pair, and get one pair for only one hundred dollars. Can you guess how many pairs we bought together? Six pairs! It was a lot of fun.
I went to the post office to pick up the triple stimulus vouchers a few days ago. I paid NT$1,000 for the vouchers, which are worth NT$3,000.
After that, I went to a drugstore to buy masks with my NHI card (National Health Insurance card). I asked the clerk if they had a whole box of masks because I wanted to get a box but couldn’t find it anywhere. She told me there was one box left and it cost NT$350. Lucky me! While I was paying, I found out that I had only two hundred dollars cash with me. I asked her if I could pay with my credit card, and she saw the vouchers that I was holding. She told me that I could pay with the vouchers. They do not give you back the change for the vouchers, so I had to pay a $200 voucher and NT$150. In the end, I paid with the credit card because I realized that if I had paid with the voucher and cash, then I would have had only NT$50 left, which was not enough to buy my lunch.
Today, finally I got a chance to use the vouchers. My class finished early today, so I went to Teishoku 8 to have dinner. I wanted to pay with two two-hundred-dollar vouchers and $30 cash, but I was told that we could order $250 worth of food with a $200 voucher. We were going to pay $430, but we ended up paying $420 for $520 worth of food. The math is so complicated here, so forgive me if I wrote something wrong. Anyway, we ordered two sets of meals, some chicken wings, fried tofu, greens, and a drink. We were so full that we couldn’t finish everything. I think I made good use of the vouchers.
My friend asked me why I waited so long to pick up the vouchers, and I said that there was not anything particular I wanted to buy. She told me that I would find ways to spend them easily after I got them and she was totally right!
